Heute abend um 10 kommt wieder Rauschabstand. Und keine Sorge: nicht schon wieder Katzenspecial. Nachdem die vorige Platte der Woche der Sendung musikalisch einen leicht videospielhaften Hüpf-und-Renn-Charakter verpasst hat, wird es heute abend besinnlicher. Muss es. Die Verkaterungerscheinungen, die gestern schon In the Cut zu ungewöhnlich samtiger Abendunterhaltung werden ließen, sind noch immer nicht vollständig auskuriert.

Die Fakten: Platte der Woche ist “Room To Expand” von Hauschka, gerade erschienen bei Fat Cat. Hauschka macht experimentelle Klaviermusik, methodisch auf den Spuren von John Cage (prepared piano), kompositorisch aber eher in der Minimalismus-Ecke, neben Glass und Reich. Ausserdem gibt es ein neues Soloalbum von Tujiko Noriko, “Solo”. Und die sehr überzeugende Kater-Ballade “One Hell Of A Party” vom neuen Air-Album wird zu hören sein, mit Jarvis Cocker am Mikrofon.

Heute abend neu bei rauschabstand (wie immer 22 Uhr, Hochschulradio Aachen): die Platte der Woche. Die Platte der Woche kommt aus Lüneburg, vom dort ansässigen Label Pingipung, ist eine Compilation, heisst Pingipung Blows: The Brass und ist ein großer Spaß, mit Beiträgen von einigen alten Bekannten (für regelmäßige rauschabstand-Hörer) wie James DIN A4, Lawrence und Harald ‘Sack’ Ziegler.

Auch aus Lüneburg kommen ein Herr namens Springintgut und seine Platte Park And Ride. Springintgut steckt irgendwie bei Pingipung drin, seine Platte erscheint aber bei City Centre Offices (nicht aus Lüneburg, das erkennt man am Namen). Ausserdem dabei: Marnie Stern, Radical Face, Frivolous, etc. Und ein Vorbote des kommenden Cinematic-Orchestra-Albums, der Euch überraschen wird.

Hinter den Plattenspielern stehen die LSD-Köpfe von Hirnströme, mit obskuren 60s-Psych-Garage-Wasauchimmer-7-inches in den Taschen.
